Katerina received her Masters in Physical Therapy from D’Youville College in New York State and returned to Toronto to start her career. Throughout her career, Katerina has had great mentors and has actively participated in post-graduate education. She has taken numerous manual therapy and exercises based courses. She is Certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and Advanced Needling Techniques from McMaster University, and is a Nordic Pole Walking, TRX, and Pilates instructor.
Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Katerina graduated from York University with Kinesiology and Psychology degrees. While in school, she worked as a personal trainer and went on to work as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Over the span of her career, Katerina has gained experience with the young and old alike, fit and frail, athletes and desk jockeys. Having recently become a mom, she has a newfound interest in pre and post natal rehabilitation. Beyond physiotherapy, Katerina has done field work with rep soccer, was a Hockey Trainer for GTHL AAA Bantam Red Wings and Midget Jr. Canadians, and was part of the medical team during the 2014 Toronto Pan Am Games
Katerina loves spending time with her family and enjoys being outdoors and staying active. Her hobbies include Nordic Pole walking, hiking, biking, running, working out, and ballet and salsa dancing. As a therapist her goal is to identify the cause of dysfunction, empower patients to take control, and to promote an active lifestyle.
